Yao Jiang got his Master’s in Architectural History from University of Virginia with Certificates in Historic Preservation and Digital Humanities in May 2021. He holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from Tongji University in 2019. Jiang has been selected as a 2020 recipient of the Student Research Grant from the School of Architecture for his thesis project. He has also participated in the 2020 Plant Humanities Summer Program at Dumbarton Oaks.

Yao Jiang is currently a freelance researcher and the co-initiator of Plant South Salesroom 植南门市部. He is also a part-time daily translator and editor to the ArchDaily China platform.
